Tejiri Jarju is a world-builder, philanthropist, and artist.
She discovered her creative power on the campuses of Rutgers University (New Brunswick) and The Illustrious North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Africana & African American Studies, she went off into the world of creative freelancing. During her time as a creative contractor, she worked with independent business owners and prominent institutions such as the National Center for Arts and Culture (The Gambia), The Embassy of the Republic of The Gambia in the United States (District of Columbia), and America's Favorite Financial Educator, Tiffany Aliche - The Budgetnista.
Since retiring from freelancing in 2024, Tejiri and her husband have set their sights on philanthropy. Together, they co-founded Ganyeh - a safe space for Africans in the creative field to earn decent pay while sharpening their skills through education and field experience (UN SDGs 4,5,and,8).
When Mrs. Jarju isn't creating art or leading teams to develop a hand-picked batch of African-led and mission-based organizations, she is contributing designs to her family’s fashion house and serving as the Director of Creative Media Production at the Silicon Valley African Film Festival
